The Prossimo Mio Foundation provides contributions only to those worthy of social solidarity and to the nonprofit bodies operating mainly for the direct implementation of socially useful projects in particular in the social and social/health assistance sector.
The Foundation can make contributions exclusively to nonprofit bodies. It cannot provide, directly or indirectly, contributions or support of any kind to profit-making bodies or companies of any kind, except for social undertakings and social cooperatives.
The non-profit status must be demonstrated by the presence, in the statute, of clauses that:
- prohibit the distribution, direct or indirect, of profits, management surpluses, funds and reserves to administrators, partners, participants, employees or collaborators;
- use profits and management surpluses to carrying out statutory activities or increasing reserves;
- impose the obligation to destine any surpluses resulting from liquidation for purposes of public usefulness or other non-profit organisations. The Foundation reserves the right to evaluate the statute and balance sheets and to ask for or require further documents or elements.
The Foundation may identify, in the terms and ways it finds suitable, other categories of subjects who may access the financing opportunities.
To verify the admissibility of bodies making requests see “Admissibility criteria for the concession of financing”
